Hi ya folks,
Thanks to zahal.org finaly i got my Picatinny rail side mount and plate for my vz58. That thing looks just wicked. Nice fit and finish as well.
Slammed a Bushnell TSR-25 on it and we r in business..Zeroid in less then 10 shots and held zero for the next 300 rounds fired yesterday like a champ. Great little red dot for the money.
And broke my firing pin in the process...Brand new 5.56 vz58 compact sporter with 1200 Norinco rounds fired. After some research online, looks like there is a good few cases of broken firing pins on vz58 in Canada. Anyways my shop ordered me one cause its under warranty. Hope the new pin is of a stronger steel/allow.

All you need now is a magwell adapter, then you can use pistol mags as well.

Still got to get rid of the plastic, I have a beech wood furniture set on order.

PS, I have not heard of many CZ firing pins breaking, that might be the way to go.

The lever on the mount is very flimsy, I find it best to use a screwdriver.

Yeah a bit to thin..but does the job..i mean how many times we take the rail out of the plate..
But a simple instruction from zahal woulld have been helpful. We spent 30 min figuring out how to attach properly the rail to the plate.
Then i spotted the torque screw underneath..
Is that a long 10 rounds pistol u got there..i didnt know they exist like that..

The mention of the thin lever is just an observation, nothing really serious, it's just cheap.

If you had trouble with the rail ( plate) wait till you try to figure the magwell instructions.

The mag shown is a regular AR mag.
