Springfield XDm Recommended Sights

Hello All,

I'l looking to upgrade my front sights to a set of fiber optic sights, was wondering what you all would recommend and dealers that would sell them? I was looking at a set of Hiz-Viz XD2007 or Williams Fire Sights #70963 (since I know where I can get these), Dawson Precison was in the list but hard to find a dealer. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I would like to upgrade before the summer IDPA matches start.

This is somewhat unrelated to your search for sights but changing sights on the XD's is a bit of an ordeal. They are pressed in by machine at the factory and are incredibly difficult to remove, most sight pushers wont even push them out. A steel punch and a big hammer seems to be the only method of removal, and with that you have to be very careful in order to not damage the slide. If you google XD sight removal there will be an abundance of information to help you if your going to remove them yourself, if not I recommend taking them to a gunsmith thats removed XD sights before so they know what they are getting into.

Hi Slim, thanks for the heads up. I was aware of this and was gonna give it a try anyways, if unsuccessful, I would take it to a local gunsmith to complete.
