Yes indeed. Down here in the Hat, there are little furry squeaking things running around just begging to take a lead pill. The game is on, and you guys should start taking pics of your kills to amuse those less fortunate folks who don't know the joy of spending a day in a field with a gun barrel that never gets a chance to grow cold.

Here's some from last year, just to warm you up:

You can talk all the BS you want here about your impossible shots, but just remember: pics or it didn't happen. :p

nice job! get rid of those little bastards. they have just started waking up here in bc, another couple of weeks and they will be out full time and so will I :)

Well, where's the fun in wiping out masses of small, defenseless critters if you can't brag about it on the internet?

And anyway, it gives the barrel time to cool down. :D

Easy pickins here. Goofy critters woke up too soon. They are scampering across the snow wondering if they'll find anything to eat!! Better put them out of their misery before they all starve to death!!

Cat food.

I wouldn't have bothered collecting them otherwise, but since they were available for it I took this photo knowing some of you would be glad to see it:

Two others made it down their holes but the blood on snow told me they aren't ever coming back up.

This was south of Kyle, SK. between Hwy.4 and The Matador, this morning (MON 01 APR 13.)

Niiiiiice. Blood on the snow. :D

Ohh, I see 762Russian is a fan of tube mags.

Yup. -Huge- fan of tubes, both for looks and functionality. And, of course, I can build quick loaders out of copper pipe. $60 worth of pipe gives me enough loading sticks to carry ~420 rounds in my pocket, and I'm practiced enough to reload in less than five seconds. It is still slower than a box mag, but I can carry eight times the ammunition in my pocket for the same cost as two banana mags that only hold a total of 50 rounds.

While a tad expensive, blasted a bunch with the 375 and 30-06 on the weekend before switching to the 17HMR. Likely shot a hundred or so in a couple hours. They were loving the spring sun. Still lots for next time though. Sorry no pics of the pieces left by the 375....lol

There are two schools of thought on this thread.

1. All this blood and gore and laughing about killing "the little bastards" does not do much for the image of "hunters".

2. Killing animals is what we do and that should never be covered up for "political correctness".

I don't think I am an extremist either way but am closer to the first group. It is pretty hard to sell non-hunters on hunters enjoying the hunting experience and closeness to nature and fellow hunters with some of the pictures and statements on here.
