If you were going to buy a semi auto what would it be, not including a Ruger 1022.

Just something for plinking with and not a crazy price.

Got a Rem. 597 and I like it.

If I were to buy another semi .22, it would be a Norinco JW-20 from CanadaAmmo, $199.99 shipped.
Well, actually, you'd have to spend another penny to get the free shipping.

I work for a big farmer picking stones, swathing, harrowing, combining. I bought a black Mossberg Plinkster 702. Gets banged around lots, stuffed in tractor, combine, swather cabs. Works every time. Cheap, indestructible. Just a thought.

Yeah my cousin bought a plinkster for the same reason...just a cheap rifle that can take a beating. I only tried it once and it shot fine.

Like shoes and purses?:)
Cooey 64B

So I shouldn't have bought matching shoes and a purse for my new revolver ... God damn it you guys steered me wrong again

Can we just get a little more info, are you looking to buy new or used, as gunrunner stated there are some EXTREMELY tough and overbuilt shotguns from times past. Cooeys, lakefields, winchesters and mossbergs ... Okay okay and rem nylon 66s

ive shot a few different 597s including the target one and liked them alot
also the savage semi is underrated as far as my opinion goes not alot of negative feedback and a good wood stock with a nice long barrel for about 239 where im at is a pretty good deal
but i bought my wife a used marlin semi and what a nice gun if u want a cheap
plinker id check out the used sections all over until u find something nice cuz for whatever ur budget is getting a new ok gun and getting a used amazing one for he same money might be a good idea but it realy depends on what you are using it for
