First you will need an image host. Tinypic, or photobucket are the most common.
Once you have the image uploaded there you can rightclick on it and select "copy image location" and then paste it into your post here with the
tags around it.
To see it in action, you can click reply with quote to a post that has a picture, then you can see how it should look.

Im trying to post pics of my m14, but i cant figure out how to post a pic. Anyone care to fill me in... lol
Here. You had an unnecessary html at the end of the image location. All images will end with .jpeg, or .gif, or .png or one of the other image extension types.
Hmm, bad link. Says it's a local file. I'm on my phone at the moment, and damn photobucket it trying to ram the mobile code down my throat, but my best guess is that you've got the link to a preview image, or something that we'd need to be logged in as you to view, or something that's stored locally on your machine.
