why isn't there a "what you need to start reloading" STICKY on this forum

I'm getting tired of this response from senior members of this site.
First off, the search function on this site is worthless. If your gonna use a search bar, just google it.
Second, we catch enough s*** from the government, the media, and the antis that we don't need to jump all over someone looking for info. If your tired of responding to the same question repeatedly, then STOP RESPONDING TO IT. Lets stop eating our own young around here.


Thirdly, yes I think a sticky would be helpful.
 
these are the pieces of equipment you need:
-press
-dies/shell holder
-powder measure/scale
-caliper to measure OAL
-a loading block, powder trickle are useful too but not absolutely needed
-highly recommended:*reloading manual*

for rifle reloading, you also need some brass trimming/cleanup tools, and case lube

these are the components you need:
-bullets/shot
-powder
-shell/casing
-primer
-wad (for shotgun only)

all you NEED. pretty simple, everything else is optional, insert brand names as preferred
 
There are probably hundreds of You Tube videos and many other sources were you could pick up the knowledge. The best however would be finding someone locally that could show you the basics and go from there.
 
thanks for responses to my thread, I wasn't looking for advice for my self, iv been reloading for years, but thanks to those who gave advice

I just noticed that alot of people are asking basically the same questions and more often than not the same people are answering them, I thought a sticky would help some of the newbies figure out what questions to ask and give them a starting point.
 
Kayser is RIGHT ON - get books - READ THEM- then you at least get an idea of what to ask fellow reloaders!!!
