Ordering from Savage

Well I received the 17HMRMAG.COM 10rd nickel mag and it looks, feels and fits in the gun and loads just like the factory Savage mag so that's a good sign. I'll have to shoot it to be sure but so far I don't think it's a doorstop!

You had better luck then me then. One only olds 8 rounds and the other 10 but they dont stay in the mag for long. Iafter trying to get them to work for god knows how long they are sitting holding my door open.
 
Thought I would post in this thread instead of starting a new thread.

Im just wondering from the guys that ordered the BoydsTacticool stock through Savage, what did you guys pay to get it through them. I know its more, but how much more???

I read in another thread it was like $175 plus the ups shipping so that means huge brokerage fees.

The Savage reps seem pretty reasonable, though - they might agree to ship USPS, if you beg...er, shmooze 'em a little. As I recall, I talked them into shipping my bottom metal, 2 mags, & actions screws USPS instead of UPS.

Was posted in another thread that they will not ship stocks sups its ups only. All the screws and bottom metal I have ordered form them comes in the mail no begging needed.
 
Try calling 705-652-8000 and use ext 5103 (Savage, Lakefield ON). You should be able to get the parts through them at very good prices. The only problem is that they are not setup for online payments, you have to send them a cheque or money order.

I confirm. I also tried to get a Tacticool stock from them with USPS. The lady clearly said they ship stocks by UPS only. My parts (trigger guard, screws and others) were automatically shipped by USPS. I made that order May 5th.

I ended up ordering a Boyds Thumbhole Varmint. I got my parts yesterday and I'm still waiting for the stock.
