Old 30-30 win model 94

The last year for the longer fore wood was 1950 supposedly. That is also when they began drilling and tapping all 94's at the factory for an aperture sight. That 94 would fetch $550 any day on the EE as it looks to be in decent shape though it has been carried some. Prices for 94 carbines are climbing steadily even post 64 rifles. I saw a couple post 64 94 carbines recently on the EE that the owner wanted $800 apiece for. They looked to be quite minty but $800!!! That is a high price for a minty pre 64 in my opinion.

It appears to be in good shape, normal wear. Value for sale would be about $450, top end in my opinion. For insurance/replacement- $550.

You typed my words!
I looked at i and also thought that 500 was high, I'm thinking about 450-----------opened your post and there it was.

Doesn't seem so high now, Bruce. The last couple years have seen 94 prices rise about 50% at least. There is a big demand for older Winchester levers and more new shooters are deciding they want one and the supply cannot increase. Four or five years ago you could get a real nice pre 64 carbine for $300 in my area now you are looking at $500 and up. I friend of mine has a couple dozen 94 carbines, none new in the box just very good condition hunting rifles. He claims he is hanging onto them as the prices are climbing rapidly and he is in no big hurry to sell.
