The new GEN4's come with the updated backstraps. They are pretty slick.

I already have my next purchase lined up, I am going to be so broke. Maybe you guys can be my support group when I have to enter "guns anonymous" lol
 
the beavertail is an extra add on though. probably the grip-force adapter... as soon as my trf is complete and my G17 Gen 4 comes, I'll consider that add on to! gotta see how it shoots and points first. Gen 4 already feels better than previous gens
 
Congrats on the first pistol. You won't be able to put it down until the first time you take it to the range. I think mine got cleaned 3 times and taken apart daily while I was waiting for my ATT.
 
Congrats on the new first purchase! Glock is a great gun however over priced here in Canada. I'm telling ya, gun stores have these powerful magnets that lure you (and your wallet) every time to buy another one! Anyway, be safe and have fun! :)

The beaver tail extension is extra. At least my gen4 only came with the 3 size back straps that only run up to roughly the mag release height on the frame ( just under the factory beaver tail )

It looks to be full length, unlike the grip force adapter..... perhaps brand new gen4's come with this ?

I was told by the guys at Reliable that the new GEN4's are starting to come with them now. The older GEN4's didn't. I'm sure anyone will be able to order them soon though.

Interesting .. Might have to look into that, as I don't like ordering out of the States anymore. Ie - grip force. ( my last 2 orders from glockparts have been "lost" by USPS )

Congrats man on your purchase, I was the same way with my Sig P250 last year, I couldn't put it down lol and the other guys here are right they are addictive once you have one I am still saving for my next one maybe a SAM 1911 Military.

Came with 4 backstraps total. 2 beavertails (M/L) and 2 regular ones (not sure of size). There was also a removal tool and an extra long pin included to hold the backstraps onto the back of the grip.
 
I definitely like the idea of the beavertails coming with the pistol...as many others have said, great choice, you'll love it, but not what it does to your bank account...enjoy!

Cool, much fancier than when I got my gen 4 a couple of years ago!
