cooey model 60/600 extractor interchangeable ?

Who ever knows their stuff and is looking this info up...also look to see what other Cooeys used the model 39 bolt. I need one.

I know for a fact that you can use the same one for the model 75.

There's one on the EE for 50, or I saw a brand new one for 38 American on the net.

Cheers

According to my book the extractor is the same for the 60 or 600.
As for the bolt, the 39, 75 or 750 (and the corresponding store brand guns) could maybe be the same. Notice that is a maybe. The headspace could need fitting. In fact in the parts book it says the bolt assy. will only be sold to gunsmiths or fit at the factory. It will not be sold to consumers.
Also there were 2 different size bolts, that being one was a bit bigger where it slid in the groove in the receiver.

I have a question then: Yes I seen the one on the EE. I`m alittle afraid since he is new to the site.
My question is: You say...39,75 and 750 will work....will I have trouble with fitment? Or are you talking about the new ones??? My old gun has the groove in the receiver.

The groove in the receiver on some guns were a different size. The square portion of the bolt handle that slides in the groove was therefor larger. I found this out one day when comparing a few of my guns and I wondered why the bolts wouldn't interchange between a few models. Then I noticed the difference.
As far as the bolt fitting (headspace) between one gun and another, yes you may have a problem. The headspace could be too loose or too tight. This is why the bolts would only be sold to a gunsmith who could fit the new bolt to the gun. Western Gun Parts in Edmonton will also not sell bolts to the consumer for this reason.

We were all new to this site at one time and had a "0" trader rating as well.
Headspace can be adjusted easily by taking away or adding metal to the back of the bolt handle root. Of course, the proper way is to pull the barrel and adjust the headspacing by machining and chambering, using gauges.
