Hey Caramel. Check this out

Who here in the Ottawa-Gatineau region is a member @ Connaught?

I'm not (though I'll be applying for a membership in the coming weeks if I can finally get a hold of the Membership Secretary), but when I do get in, I will offer this to JP and the rest of the board members - a range visit as a guest to finally put this debate to rest. I'll participate as an unbiased witness to the 5 or 10 group shots of this Nemesis and will report it back. I don't know JP, never met him so I gain absolutely nothing in lying on the results of the day's shoot at 100 / 300 / 600 or 1000 yards.

JP - I know you have your own personal range not too far from the Ottawa-Gatineau area and this would be a great opportunity to proove your marksmanship once and for all.

Then we could all move on :)

Deal?
Just go to the NCRRA site and download, print, fill out and send your application to the membership secretary. You'll get your card in the mail.

I can't wait to see JP and his Nemesis @ Connaught. ;)

I've got the form filled out for 2013-14, but as a new member I need to find a sponsor/reference on my application who's already a member of Connaught and need to confirm how to go about that as I don't know (in-person) any current members.

Then there’s the range safety course and tests; I’m pretty sure that I just won’t get a membership card in the mail upon the receipt of my payment! If that isn't the case, I'll be mailing it express post today!

I do like the "gun in a briefcase" ... If price was a bit lower I would buy one and change my name .... to James Bond...... But then again come hunting season I would feel a bit weird carrying my brief case into the bush

... The backpack is more handy and so comfy, great quality of fabrication... JP.

Ridiculous accuracy claims aside, I gotta admit it's a neat rifle. If they were a thousand bucks I'd get one just cause it doesn't take much trunk space.

I think this rifle was in that new Bourne movie, so it must be very accurate. :)

JP - do you accept the offer that I've proposed? I'm not calling you out, but merely offering an unbiased observation of how your rifle will perform and will report from the very good to the very bad.

You notice that he never responds to the challenge but to other replies. That's an easy way to put these claims to rest once and for all but I highly doubt it.

That what i mean... JP.

?????...I take it that means you won't be showing up to Connaught. I am sure others would love to see accuracy claims first hand. I would be the first one in line to eat crow but as others, I am skeptical at best.
