Frustrated 10/22 parts hunter

Just about finished my 10/22 build, and I'm getting completely frustrated looking for a hogue stock with 920 barrel channel in any color other than pink or that butt ugly zombie green. Can't try out the new timney trigger group or tac sol barrel till I find a stock and I won't furnish it with anything other than a hogue overmold.( I've got a rem 700 tactical and love the stock) if anyone has one or knows where I can get one it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a black one , the way things are going I figure if I wait another couple months it will be worth $200-$250. LOL

Prices and availability are getting nuts.

Many moons ago I bought a barrel-channel rasp from Brownells and gouged out the channel in my 10-22 "deluxe" stock, and then bedded the two inches of barrel just forward of the barrel-fixing block with Devcon Epoxy Steel. Sealed the open wood with a bit of varnish. Not a fancy stock, but the rifle shoots like a hot-damn. A "pretty" job could be done with a mill and appropriately shaped cutter.
It's a $40 solution that you could try while you search for the aftermarket stock. Never know, you might like the result. I've shot lots and lots of gophers in AB and SK, and hundreds of rabbits and possums (in New Zealand). Haven't checked lately but it used to "same hole" federal bulk ammo...

Dlask sent me a ghilli tan .920 1022 stock a couple weeks ago .

Well after many ridiculous replies from fellow gun nutters offering me used beat up stocks for 130 dollars stating that supply and demand has justified the price, I finally had someone offer me a used but good condition tan stock for 75 bucks. Hopefully the deal goes through and I can move on to the next impossible to find in Canada 10/22 part. (will be looking for a kid bolt and receiver) anyone have any leeds? Thanks again for all the replies.

Hmm, I have a KIDD bolt, barrel and trigger assy waiting for a build. Maybe I should just wait and flip them.

Find out when Jo-Brook and Fabsports are expecting their next orders. That's what I did and jumped fast when Fabsports got theirs. They don't get a lot at a time, so you have to be quick.
