Literally just got this rifle. Oiled it and snapped pics. All matching late dou43. Bayo lug was removed via the pin when it was found, indicating likely GI bringback.
All stamped parts, mint bore. Came with hood, rod and sling. Thanks Brian!

It is not from the EE.

4x4- there are red glue stocks and white glue stocks, as mentioned it is the colour of the resin that was used.

Thanks guys, glad to have her, working hard on the collection but its turning out well.

lol - it takes more than a wallet to get one in Canada - you need luck. They don't come up often and go quickly when they do. Easier to get one stateside and import it, but then you need patience. That takes months.

Does it ever!

I bought my byf43 stateside, nov 9th, 2012. Got it early feb.......waiting was terrible.

And yes here, luck helps alot. I was lucky yesterday. A K98K and 2 door prizes at a buddys stag and doe.

dou made K98k rifles bear no stock proofing or markings at all. Full serial with letter suffix inside on stock and handguard. Also they are slightly over sized, very noticeable at the wrist.

the dou made G24T have the early type external stock markings.
