Hey guys just wanted to let you all know I got a good deal on a nice little 2.5Liter Ultrasonic Cleaner with 160watt heater for 129.99$ in Burnaby, B.C. from videointercom.ca. I had been doing some research on them and the Hornady 2L model only has a 80watt heater and retails for about 149+.
I bought it mainly for brass cleaning but also to clean my handgun barrels and sometimes slides too when I get lazy. I will be purchasing the Hornady one shot brass and gun cleaner soloutions from cabelas but right now I'm just using plain tap water and dish soap. You choose between a white basket for stainless steel basket but the white basket is deeper and better imo.

That's a great price for that size of cleaner.

Try adding about a half cup of cheap and basic white vinegar to your soap and water mix. Works like a treat and cleans inside and out to darn nearly like new in the case of de-capped rifle brass in about a 3 to 4 minute cycle.

With capped pistol brass the insides remain slightly stained but relatively fouling free.

I dont have any before pics of the brass but heres an after pic. They are more than clean enough for me. polishing doesn't gain anything except cosmetic which is why I decided to go ultrasonic, it cleans inside and outside. I heard about vinegar but was told it leaves a red kind of color on the brass that needs to be polished off with a tumbler. These weren't decapped either because I dont have a decapping die just a resizing. will need to purchase one so I can decap dirty brass then clean in ultrasonic. Can't wait to see how well the hornady one shot brass cleaning solution works compared to water and dish soap.

That brass looks good.
I use the Hornady one shot solution and it works great.
Looks like the Lyman solution works great too.
I actually wanted the hornady one shot brass cleaner but all they had in stock was the gun cleaner, glad I grabbed the lyman turbo sonic though because it does look amazing for not being polished.

I use the Hornady case cleaning solution. It smells like carpet cleaner, the kind you use with one of those steam cleaners. The Hornady stuff is 25bux maybe it's just carpet cleaner? Don't know but if I find cheap carpet cleaner I am gong to try it out.

I also put in a few drops of "Goo Gone" with the Hornady stuff and it shines the cases right up.

Will try the Vinegar next.
