Last year I stumbled upon a couple of sporterized Lee-Enfields at Italian Sporting Goods here in Vancouver. I had never seen the Lee-Enfields at other local gun stores before and decided to pick one up for $170.

I've read that there are suppose to be a lot of Lee-Enfields in Canada but they seem less common the other military surplus rifles. Is there a place, other than E-E (I don't have access to it), where I can find a non-sporterized Lee-Enfield? How much would it go for?

Elwood EPPS, sometimes has them, they recently had a batch of n04mk1* longbranch rifles from india, P&S guns and militaria, may have some. price reflects conditon, 400-1000, with 400 getting you a good bore decent enfield and 1000 getting a mint rifle that looks like it was built yesterday. Best of luck with your search.

Once you start looking they will pop up everywhere. You just never noticed them befor.. When the beginner starts to rebuild surplus rifles, the parts seem impossible to find. Once you know where to look, there's a lot out there.

Hi, Kiltmonkey;

Are you looking for a particular model of Lee-Enfield? The No. 4 is pretty common at gun shows here in Alberta, but a No. 1 Mk 3 or 3* takes a bit more looking. Still, I picked one up about 2 years ago for $350, in fairly decent shape.
