Sometimes simpler is better.

I just did a run of 250 30-30 brass I got from a member here and it went pretty fast thanks to these $5.00 wonders. I have a Lyman accu - trim but I find I only use it if I haven't gotten a Lee for that caliber yet.

With the Lee I chuck the holder in my makita cordless and I'm off to the races, with the Lyman it seems I'm spinning that handle forever and, IMHO, the cases don't come out as uniform.

Like I said, sometimes simpler is better.

Agreed trim and inside/outside chamfer on the drill.

I find holding the case in the drill makes it easier to size and debur at the same time.

Also I'm going to fit my cutting tool with some kind of grip to prevent finger fatigue. Maybe a piece of moose antler for cool factor!

Come to my house, I have three five gallon buckets of .223/5.56 brass you can trim until your finger bleed.

Below, a WFT (Worlds Finest Trimmer) in the hand drill and the Hornady Case Prep Trio.

Don't ask me how I know about bleeding cripled fingers and having thousands of cases to trim. :sok2

^ That's cool. I did a mod to my RCBS case prep center that has the Lee cutter on one of the stations.

I clamp a small ish vice grip to the handle of my Lee trimmer, works great.
However if i had pails of brass to do, I would look for something more efficient as well.

Thanks!

I was thinking of eventually getting one but I think my next tool will be a Concentricity gauge. Oh the priorities of reloading toys!

KDX, mind posting a pic of your prep station?

This is what you want to stop your fingers from cramping up. I love these. Have a case length guage and cutter/ball for every calibre I load. Case in a lock stud/shell holder in a drill, spin it and insert the case length gauage (on the ball).........it's effortless! I'll never own another case trimmer 'cause they are the best. I bought these balls at WSS.

I got the idea off a video on youtube and had a local machinist make me the part.

I agree with you, they are the best unless a person is willing to spend hundreds of dollars. I use mine in my drill press, even better!

+1 on the ball for every caliber!

My trimmer / case prep station is a cheap Princess Auto variable speed drill (50% off on sale) with a Lee 3 jaw chuck, mounted horizontally, plugged into a Busy Bee foot controller (also 50% off on sale). For about $65 you can't go wrong. Once you get going it blows the doors off the RCBS or Hornady prep stations! In much less than a minute per magnum case, I can trim, debur/chamfer, brush out, steel wool, wipe down a case. Regular rifle cases are even faster.

Pretty much the way I do it, ingenius product.

The only downside for these things is that you are limited to calibers for which there are gauges, I'm into a bunch of oddball stuff like .38s&w, 7.62 Nagant ( ETC ) IIRC there are none for those calibers ( not like you trim pistol brass but you get the idea ). For standard calibers though they look amazing..

They do make one for .38s&w http://leeprecision.com/gage-holder-38-s-w.html

And they offered custom case length gauges(unavailable right now do to the demand of other products down south.
