I forgot what offerings there were for grip handles that are optimized for pdws. As i recall they were a bit more vertical? this is for ar pattern

Umbrella Corp is by far the most vertical.

The MOE K is also very vertical

Have both, dropped the k grip in favor of the umbrella corp grip, it's a little fatter and has that extra wedge in the backstrap and just all around sits more comfortable.

does this mod make sense? if so please explain. Thx

Sure it does, if you run your AR with a short stock or a PDW, then you want a more vertical grip because it helps with ergonomics due to the strong hand being in a more natural angle. Also so that your elbow isn't doing that "chicken wing" thing, and you can keep your elbows down.

If you find you are getting a sore wrist or bending your wrist on a strange angle it is pretty much a must have. Typical if you are using your rifle with the stock collapsed or with a short stock, ie: pdws.

Are the MOE-K2 out yet?
I felt something was missing from the K, seem they fixed it...
