Pop rivet failure

What I would do is keep my mouth shut...

I'm very glad we have real experts here to advise us on what to do if a rivet falls out. I'd have probably turned in my own PAL!

Has anybody actually been charged for possessing an unpinned mag?? And I don't mean when the cops are searching a drug dealers house and find an unpinned mag, I mean an otherwise law abiding citizen getting caught with an illegal mag.

So much for trying to be funny... Given all the paranoia around here sometimes, I though a non-explicit tip would be appreciated.

But yeah... If people can get hung up on having the proper strength of storage safes, the 'right' kind of gun lock or transport case, having their paperwork in tip-top order and a whole bunch of other legalistic details, it seems to me that it's worth checking to make sure your pinned mags are properly pinned. As well, if you have any manufactured 5-round mags for your battle rifles, it might be a good idea to see that a sixth round can't be slipped in. However if you think this is a silly concern, please don't bother taking the 5 minutes to check...I'm sure no officious club or range officer or anti-gun cop ever will...

What you missed in your very inept attempt at humour is you make the devices that allow us to legally own mags physically larger than an actual 5 rounder, ie a 5/20, seem weak, laughable, and ban-able. A smart guy would keep his mouth shut and fix the issue correctly. This kind of arse hatting only serves to make sure the only legal mags will soon be cut off at 5 rounds of mag body length.

Indeed it frustrates me beyond belief common sense is no longer common.
