Then I'm in.
I sometimes will give a gun a name.
This one is Blacky.
Before my good friend Anzacman left for the big range in the sky,he gave me this rifle.
I had drooled over it when he first got it.
It was built for him by Lester Bruno and is a .262 neck chambered for 6ppc.
Kelby Panda action,Jewell trigger,Kreiger heavy varmint barrel,Kelby stock and Kelby polished high rings.
I topped it off with a Weaver T36.
The Jon Loh rest was also a gift as was the leather Edgewood shooting mat that he had given me.
Like I said, I scored a ten in the looks department today.
Today was my first day shooting it with cases that I had fireformed on my previous range trip.
Today I was testing Mitchell 68gr. bullets over 28.8 gr of VV N133.
I didn,t score a ten in the shooting department ,but did get a few groups in the low ones.
It was a beautiful day.Had the range to myself and was sippin ice tea and eating pepperoni.
Doesn,t get any better.
The target shown was my best of the day.
All my groups were 5 shot groups.
It measures .145
Next few trips will be fine tuning loads to see what the rifle likes.
I think I'm pretty close now.
