Pmags... Never enough???

I feel 3-4 mags for each gun I own is good enough. I don't compete so I guess its not that big of a deal. For the AR I have 2 Pmags and 2 LAR mags. I really don't see what the big deal is with Pmags anyways. What are stormchaser's thoughts?

I bought 6 when i had the chance recently and they were crap. all the pinned rivets stuck out and they would not go into the gun. I needed to grind them down until they almost fall off just to function. They also scratched the magwell with use. Pure junk.

Magpul mags quality took a dump bigtime and are bigtime buyer beware. The MSAR mags are far better in build and feel and have not had any function problems for me.

bottom line. I have enough pmags. until they are made well again I will not buy another

Mine are excellent and unlike metal mags I've never had a feeding issue with any.

Mags are wear items. Buy lots and bin them when they act up.

I got 6 Pmags and had to file down the rivets a little so they drop free. Got 3 XCR pistol 10rnd'ers but could use a couple more. That said, I have enough for now but if I'm ordering online, and they're readily available (not at inflated prices!) then I'll add one or two to make it worthwhile. I think 10 is a nice round number to build to. :)

Every time I get some I think I have enough. Then I see some more and figure it is a good idea to grab a couple more. :)

Well with 8 pmags and 4 10 round mags I think I'm good in .223 so I'll let you other fellows buy the all from P&D! They were still in stock in nice bags this morning!

What was the price?
And no your not good until you have at least 20 mags. What if the zombies actually do come or we get invaded by the US when their economy finally collapses? You need more :)

I feel 30-40 mags for each gun I own is not enough. I don't shoot so I guess its not that big of a deal. For the AR I have 20 Pmags and 20 LAR mags. I really see what the big deal is with Pmags. I don't care about stormchaser's thoughts.

That is how your post should read. Now your a true Pmag fanboy! :D

I have to ask, you do realize magpul doesn’t do the pinning right? As this appears to be your sole quality complaint? Some dealers pin better than others…

For me, there are never enough mags and I do prefer pmags, but I hate paying for mags in general… ergh… its quite the conflict I have, I am always like I need more mags (pmags, glock mags, 1911 mags, etc.) then look at the price and think I’ll wait till next month… I’ll just keep asking for them for Christmas… oh and the last 2 pmags I got were free!! :D

All 12 Pmags I have so far were pinned perfectly when I got them...well one actually is a little tough to put the dust cover on with 5 rounds because the rivet is probably 1mm too high. The gen 3 Pmags are definitely an improvement over the 2nd.

I don't own any Pmags. There was some concern with them and firearms other than the AR. As I have AR rifles and a Tavor I was waiting for the Gen3 ones. Then of course the crap in the US caused Pmags to be viewed as gold. I do however have 20 D&H mags with the Magpul Gen2 anti tilt follower. They work very well in all my firearms. The price was a lot more reasonable then the over inflated Pmag prices lately.

You can never have enough pmags, i managed to get myself 17 more :p Aaaah the Zombies are coming!!
