That's the quality of picture one would expect to see on the front cover of the likes of Outdoor Life or Field & Stream. Here's a couple more and it sure looks like a 366 Wagner that he used for the task.

If I had to choose, I like "35 Whelen", but it's taken.

Nothing is more precise than 9.3X62, so it should and will stay.

I will start a campaign however to rename the 30-06 in the interest of precision. "30"? "06"? I like 7.62X63 - thoughts?
