For shooting left handed, it's not the easiest to fit your right handed thumb in the small little gap between the mag release and the trigger guard, but this is easily fixed: hammer the trigger guard toward the butt-stock using a rubber mallet! (you only hammer the mag release side of the trigger guard)

I've done this and visually there's no perceptible difference, but my thumb fits comfortably in that space now, so much so that an ambidextrous mag release is not necessary.

Why are you trying to use your right hand thumb?

Straighten left hand index finger and hit it, then the mag falls out.

Feel the lefty love.
I was the only lefty at my RPAL course out of 2 classes of 40 students lol..

My instructor was an IPSC competitor and shoots both ways and showed me some cool lefty tricks.

Actually, I believe I do use the left hand index finger too - either way, it was easier to access with the trigger guard hammered because there's more finger contact space exposed.

I'm a righty, and I'm looking for an ambi release so I can have the same benefits as my lefty brothers.

This is how i roll. Trigger finger press on all sides. Keeps it semi-similar to AR15 mechanics. and many other rifles. Also allows for crispy mag changes.
