Actually no. Airsoft guns have never required the orange tip in Canada, that's an American thing. As for the coloured bodies, also nope, that was to get around CBSA and RCMP classifying them as replicas. They are no longer classified as replicas so long as they are capable of firing at 366+ fps, as that is the speed at which a 6mm .20g BB will penetrate a pig's eye, the standard for serious injury. As such they are now classified as unregulated firearms, like pellet guns and paintball markers, so there are no aesthetic restrictions whatsoever.

On the whole, the "blaze orange tip" thing never really made sense to me, if I were an LEO I would ignore it and still treat it as a real firearm, due to the risk of someone taking advantage of that by painting a real gun to disguise it as a toy. anyone here seen the pink M4s?
