It was supposed to leave by Air but it was cancelled by Luftansa. So know it is coming by ocean. I do not have exact date because we are waiting for transshipment papers from Germany. Guys I will update you as soon as I have something. For now I have nothing.

How long does it take a freighter to slog its way across from coast to coast once it sets sail? Couple weeks? Month? Not including time at port for customs and such.

Curious how you came up with the number?
I thought these cargo ships left Russia, crossed the pacific, and then arrived in BC? Well that's what I would assume atleast.

8 weeks would be for a slow ship. At 15 knots, an good average is about 12 days for an atlantic crossing for most shipping routes. A pacific crossing is longer. Depnding on route, at 15 knots, about 20 days or so. Perhaps less.

The question was "once it leaves"
If comeing from Kazahstan(or Russia for that matter),I can see them having a busy land trip. Would be trucked to Gemany with the hold up of clearing costom's etc.Then off to Belgium,again held up till cleared by custom's. Then a quick trip to Antrerp,where they will sit among thousands of other container's waiting till there is a ship being loaded bound for Montreal. It may take a few months till there is even a ship heading our way.
I shipped my Sailplane from Germany a few years ago. I hauled it in its trailer from Gemany to Anterp dockyard's myself, and it still was a 3 month wait till it arrived in Montreal.
Anyway, looking for an M38 and M44 myself.
