What Happened to Desert Tactical Arms?

its not a dsr 1 and it not as accurate as. its a poor copy of a dsr 1

This is what you come up with for your second post? Nice one.
Do you think it's a copy because it is also a bullpup? If that's the case then every rifle out there is a copy of something else. I don't recall ever reading anywhere that DTA is trying to create a budget DSR 1.
Have you ever shot one? Shot either of them? Held either of them?
Not as accurate? Based on what? I have handloads with 2 different bullets that will do 5 shot groups about an inch at 200yds. How much more accurate can you get with a 338? I'm pretty sure my latest batch of testers is going to have a load that is going to get me to sub 1/2moa so if you can find something better for the same price I'd love to see it.
What do you own that can shoot better than the DTA?

With all those great rifles in your collection you should know enough about shooting to know that any of the rifles mentioned including the DTA can shoot better than 99% of shooters out there and that the only difference between them comes down to ammo selection and if the shooter is having a good day or not. You should also know enough to know it's not a copy of anything, just because it's a bullpup doesn't make it a copy of the DSR-1. To call it a poor copy you are either trolling for conflict or just being ignorant because you think you own something better.
I almost bought a Barrett instead of the DTA but liked the bullpup better and don't regret my decision at all.

Yes absolutely . Tim Schram from Corlanes has been working on this for a while. I asked him to bring one in and he decided to bring in several dual caliber SRS systems. A number of 308/338 and some other combos

Hi John,
We agree and disagree on this.
Agreed ,It is NOT a DSR1 and it was not intended to be ,although the boys at DTA sure looked at design features of the DSR1 when
building their own bullpup rifle.
I own the DTA SRS and have chatted with you at Mons when you had your DSR out. I would disagree that it is a copy, let alone a poor copy of the DSR1.
It ...IS.... a unique rifle unto it's own.
IMHO the DTA can run accuracy performance equalling the DSR1 given talents of the shooter/reloader.
However, I say this based upon DSR's published claims and my personal results with the DTA, not having shot the DSR1.
I know you own quite a collection of top tier rifles that have a great reputation for accuracy ,and I believe the DTA SRS can run with the "pack" no problems...
FWIW:)

Hi I met you at the Orangeville gun show and at the Mons range on Base Borden but I do not know your name, I agree with you that the DTA SRS is a good rifle and like any other gun has its pros and cons my opinion is just that my opinion and not always right, see you at Borden on the 20th.
John
