Do the grips improve performance or reliability?
TDC
No juss wanted something different and they were free from a buddy
Did someone piss in your cereals this morning?
Can you see the grips when you're shooting?

Is this model still made by Para? From another forum, there was a discussion regarding this GI Expert, to which some parts/sub assemblies are sub-contracted by Armscor. Similar to the STI Spartan deal, primarily so they can sell it cheaper. Can anyone confirm this?
I prefer wood grips on my 1911 pistol, here is my Nork Commander with DD checkered Brazilian rosewood made by Kim Ahrends !

Is this supposed to be a trick question, Thanks for your feedback.
I think you need to relax a lil and take your tin foil hat off, its not that serious reallyNope, no trick. Just a reality check. Seems most are concerned with mods that have a zero net gain in either performance or reliability. If this is the priority then clearly improving ones ability with a firearm is not one. To me that falls into the poser category, or rather the "enthusiast" category. Naturally, its usually the 1911 crowd who prefer to pretty up the guns rather than improve them or themselves... Just saying.

Relax, why? I'm not worked up. I'm simply amused at the amount of money wasted on useless stuff designed for form over function. At the end of the day its your money do as you please. My concern is when such people decide to weigh in on what is and isn't effective as far as make/model/calibre/technique/accessory. If playing dress up with your guns is your game, great. I must be in the minority of people who wish to shoot their guns and improve ones ability. Looking cool has zero benefit.

Gun is no longer a tool for us anymore, these are range toys, while people enjoy to dress up a little bit for their toys, nothing wrong with that, if you have problem with people spent their money, that is your own problem my friend.
