There are already magnum ARs up here in 300win & 338 Lapua. I believe Epps had them but I couldn't tell you what brand they are.

There isn't enough loctite in the country.



But in all seriousness, they did (relatively) recently release the XCR-M, which is apparently pretty awesome (I want one! ). I'm sure they would consider making an even bigger one in .300 Win Mag if they perceived enough demand.

If I was going to go anything over a 308Win, I would prefer to step it up to the .338LM over the .300WM myself.

.338 in an AR kind of defeats the purpose of an AR; portability and ease of operation....The upper would be a monster....I'm no expert, just my 2c

The upper would not be exponentially larger then a .7.62 or 300WM already would, quite to the contrary in my opinion.

The purpose of heavy caliber AR-15 rifles is to be a Designated Marksman Rifle, using a familiar platform, not a CQB rifle.

I am not bashing .300WM, I only stated my opinion that if I was already getting a larger rifle for the DMR role, I would prefer it to be in .338LM over .300WM for the added ballistic benefits with minimal tradeoffs...
