Anyone know where to buy original "Colt" factory 1911 parts from besides Numrich? I hate Numrich, their website sucks and it cost too much to ship to Canada. And Brownell's doesn't sell much at all. Looking for Rosewood grips and a grip safety.

Midway USA has actual factory Colt parts - but only if you know someone in USA that can buy for you becuz they wont ship to Canada or let you create a billing account outside USA.... balls. That said, I find factory Colt parts to be very poor quality, at least the ones in my Gold Cup NM.

try armseast

I called them, they don't sell Colt parts.

Yeah, MidWay USA sucks because they don't ship to Canada. But, they do stock what I want.

I called Marstar, these parts are NOT Colt parts. They are imported from China. They said that they don't sell Colt guns or parts.

Thanks guys for the replies.

I'm sure pete knows already, but for all newcomers: If you were to follow this plan, of course you would be careful to go through the proper procedure regarding the export of controlled items from the USA.

Wow that sucks. Did you tell him to change it on his website? Because as it is now, the section is clearly titled "Colt 1911 and 1911A1 Parts". Plus the parts numbers all start with "COL". Very misleading. Especially for someone who just places his order on the website without calling, little does he know he's getting chinese stuff marketed as Colt parts.

I specifically asked them if they were Colt parts and he said "No, we don't sell Colt handguns or parts" that they are more than likely Norinco parts from China.

alright well, the other place I think could in theory help you is Armco. I say in theory, because he's been known to be very very unreliable in the past year or so. I'm sure he is capable of getting you the colt stuff you're looking for, but given that his customer service is non-existant (as in customers sending him money and him sitting on it for months), you may not want to go down that road.

Have you tried contacting Colt Canada? maybe they can point you in the right direction?
