Building an 11.5" AR, What muzzle device would YOU put on?

As stated, what would you put on for a muzzle device and why.

I'm leaning towards either an AGW linear compensator (channel noise away and apparently mild reduction/re-alignment of recoil) or the new BCM gunfighter mod 0 compensator (more side blast, but apparently more recoil reduction).

I don't see a huge advantage of putting on a hardcore flash-hider as I don't plan on any night shooting, I like the idea of getting follow-up shots faster, but I also don't want a massive side-blast or extreme muzzle flash.

How about this little pig?

Just picked up a Hera Arms linear comp for my 10.5. Won't install it until my new rail and gas block arrive though. Will post reviews then.

Allen Gun Works linear comp.

Troy Claymore.

Both work like a comp/brake but channel noise etc down range.

7.5" & 10" guns tend to have a rather large flame and report. Your buddies at the range will thank you for sending that downrange as opposed to beside you at the range.....

I used a Dlask XB5, same kind as the AGW pretty much.

The 11.5" isn't so bad that it needs a huge pig, but it can still benefit from that style, so the XB5 offers a good compromise that function and weight.

Years ago I replaced the A2 on my 11.5 with a KX3 Pig. It's great for blast reduction, but it's heavy and an A2 seems to perform better at recoil compensation. If I was going to try something new I think I'd go to a BattleComp and see how that performs.

Noveske Pig
Vltor VC/BCM
Battlecomp
AGW Linear or 3 prong style
PWS FSC556
Ares Effin-A
Griffin M4SD Tact Comp

Any of these would be good choices, depending on what look you we're trying to achieve. I had both the Battlecomp 1.0 and an AAC 51t Blackout. Cancelled the Battlecomp to get the AAC, but it was a heavy little thing and threw off the balance of the rifle so sold it before even putting a round through it. Currently have an A2 on, but leaning towards with the Vltor/BCM models or the Ares Effin-A for its "tune-ability".

I just ordered a Griffin M4SD II brake for my 16 inch. Not sure when I will get it, and I think our range is closed this weekend, but I will let you know how it works. Probably not the best option for an 11.5, unless you are half deaf already.
