Cost is always a consideration, but not the most important one.
It will be
for several different size shooters. An adjustable cheek
piece would be a good thing. Weight isn't a critical issue,
but it must not be too long or muzzle heavy. 243 is too small,
7-08 ideal, 308/358Win fine too, the options in 30-06
