In my quest to accumulate as many different NR black rifles as possible :D I'm now looking at a KRISS Vector 45. Anyone got any hands on experience pro or con that they would like to share?

Thanks in advance.

Good friend has one that I've got to shoot a number of times. Great gun....accurate, low recoil, takes glock mags. He has the NR version, I like the fake silencer on the longer barrel.

When you say "accurate" can you be a little more specific in terms of group size & at what distances? Is it comfortable to hold?

The price is a little bit high.

They're a little bit nicer gun than the JR-Carbine. But the price is more than double what the JR costs.

When I was in Vegas last fall, I shot the full auto version of the Kriss at Battlefield Vegas (behind Circus Circus)....I put several hundred rounds through it and I was quite impressed with it's accuracy...At 20 yds, off hand, I could easily place rounds into the "A" zone, and I wasn't even trying that hard....It's unique design does cut down on recoil a little....It also has a two round burst fire mode and was very accurate....

If anyone goes to Vegas and wants to shoot full auto's, Battlefield Vegas is the only place to go...I've been going to Vegas for quite awhile and I've been to all the other full auto range's....Few come close to Battlefield...Take a trip to the desert and have a hoot...Soviet RPD. full auto Glock 34 (yep, a Glock 34 modified), full auto 14 (wicked recoil), a ma deuce, etc.....

If I ever get time, I'll post the vids of all the auto's I shot (And spent an obscene amount of money doing so, but would do it again)...

If anyone buy's a JR Carbine over a KRISS, they're insane. Unless cost is the issue, then it makes sense. I have a NR Vector and the thing runs like a champ. Have put over 1,200 rounds through of various FMJ's and Hollow Points and haven't had a single failure to feed or failure to eject, or failure to fire. Runs amazing. When it comes to cleaning, I can break down the gun completely in about 10-12 seconds. It only has a few, large, moving parts and was designed like this on purpose for easy cleaning and reliability. Similar thinking was behind the AK-47. It's accurate and has little recoil and whenever guys see me shooting it at the range they always come over and look at it and want to hold it or shoot it. I didn't buy it to attract attention at the range, but I guess it just comes with the gun, lol.

I can't say enough about the design, function, and reliability of the KRISS and this comes from someone who dropped about $2,600 in total on it with accessories, and believe me I wouldn't be happy with spending that much if the gun turned out not to be worth the money.

I love my Kriss Vector, I added a Bushnell Holosight, FAB Defense forward grip/Bi-pod with Surefire light. As stated earlier, it breaks down easily and easy to clean.

Mine has seen a good bit of shooting, and I have nothing bad to say about it.

A very innovative firearm, but to be fair we can not take full advantage of the recoil system in Canada.

A word of advice, these need to be run with hot ammo and lots of grease.

I have the NR version and it has eaten all ammo I've fed it. The only issues I had were when I had it lubed with grease and the temp dropped to -20C. Once I switched to oil it hasn't had a failure since.
Accuracy is about 4-5" at 50yds but could probably be better if I put some type of optic on it. I was dinging the 200yd gong at the range with it 2-3 times out of 10 with the flip up sights and could probably do better with some glass on it and if I used a proper rest.
If you can afford it I would buy one. I have no experience shooting the JR or TD but looking at them I know I made the right decision.

I had an NR Kriss and loved it. Shot excellent for the 500 or so rounds I put through it and was complimented nicely by my Glock 21SF. Never had a problem with it for one second. However, its an expensive gun and eats ALOT of ammo and 45acp isnt cheap. I sold it and bought a Thureon Defence in 9mm AND 45ACP for just a few hundred bucks more than what I sold the Kriss for. Now I can shoot cheap 9mm when im plinking and 45acp when I want to put bigger holes in stuff. Is the Kriss a better shooter than the TD in 45? No... it shoots about the same. Is it cooler and does it get more attention? Heck yeah. You could go to the range naked with a JRcarbine and get less attention than showing up with a Kriss fully clothed.

My only gripe about the Kriss was the lack of aftermarket parts... the only ones available are the actual Kriss parts and they are CRAZY expensive and hard to find. It didnt really NEED anything more, but im a compulsive upgrader so that part bugged me.

I say, if you have the money... definitely get one. Youll never be disappointed with it. If your struggling with the price a TD (if you can find one at the older, lower price) is just as good a shooter but costs substantially less. My TD shoots 2 inch groups at 50 yard with only a red dot and cheap blazer aluminum cased ammo.

Good post. Just wanted to point out that there are aftermarket products available that aren't kriss parts. For instance, you can put on foregrips different lights/lasers, red dots, slings etc.

Secondly, I see you own a Ruger SR-22. I'm jealous, where'd you buy it?

I dont consider those to be "upgrades". They are accessories. Universal so they dont count IMO. LOL...

I bought my SR-22 off a member in the marketplace. It had a few rounds through it but was mint. Best part... I managed to find at all. Hehe.

Yeah you can't find those SR-22's anywhere!
