Should go under April purchases I guess. Came across this M1 recently. Thought I was over these things, but liked the look of it. Serial# puts it around March 1945. Markings on butt indicate it went through an AA (Augusta Arsenal) rebuild and retains it's SA 1945 barrel, but bolt is a WRA. Barrel has good rifling and shine, but some scattered pitting in grooves, but at least it's an original SA 45. Might actually get around to shooting this one.

Was just watching the show Tales of the Gun-US Guns of WW2, documentary and did not know that Garand was a Canadian and he who designed the Garand 30 cal self loading rifle also had a skating rink in his living room lol !!! Good on you Johnny Canuck .
