2013 off to a good start, 26 lbs 7 ozs, beard 10 3/16, spurs 1 5/16 and 1 4/16.

[/URL][/IMG]I have been after him for 3 days, but he kept going around me, he was with 8 hens and was useing them as lookouts. today I used a single reed elk call and cluked at him , he came in to 5 yards.

I had a great turkey hunt as well. One hour into opening day I called a gigantic tom within 10 yards. Scared the hell out of me, heart was racing and I missed. Completely devestated. A few hours later i went up a bit higher and got a nice but smaller bird. This one I shot at about 35 yards. My first kill ever. Man what a fun day. Can't wait till the fall.

To show how big the bird is, I'm 5' 11" and 250lbs and he is the largest I've shot.
