That's definitely a USA import.

I don;t mind the duffle cut guns either, but in the case of yours, it looks like someone added a spacer to the repair to account for the saw blade difference, but that the spacer used was slightly too wide. Someone good with wood could probably improve on it a bit.

This is exactly how it was done. It could have been done better for sure but at this point I'm just going to leave it as is and be happy with it.
 
When I bought my duffle cut K98, I paid the pricely sum of $169.00 out the door - no tax. He even put it in a cardboard box for me. Then I drove off into the sunset...

That must have been a few years ago? Sadly I had to pay a bit more than 169 bucks for mine.

Back in the Late 90's. The guy had a rack of them standing upright, about 40-50 feet long full of K98's for sale. Matching, Mismatched, you name it and cheap like Borscht. Long before the RC's ever came to Canada. :cool:
