Since i decided to shoot a bit more of IPSC shotgun matches this year, i thought i better read up on the official rule book....
To my surprise i see that "No. Home loads are acceptable."

Can someone explain why this rules is in place?

I don't think you even need the comma...

No home loads are acceptable... reads to me as: "there are no homeloads that are acceptable"

No, homeloads are acceptable... reads to me as: "No... homeloads ARE acceptable".

As in... "Hey Dave I hear that they don't allow homeloads in ipsc shotgun"

DAve replies... "No, homeloads are acceptable"

English,, it's teh hard.

I agree that a lot of people find the wording confusing, but just to be unambiguous, they cover this specifically in the IPSC RO course, i.e. that people are confused about it and that home loads are allowed.

Do you have that in writing from IPSC? If so, can you please forward it to me? I'm planning on going to a L4 SG match and do not want to get dq'd for using reloads.

I don't have it in writing as the rulebook IS the writing... but it was covered specifically in the RO course I took in March.
