Pistol case from Canadian Tire

I bought a similar one a few years ago and did the same as you did with the grey foam. It's stood up fine.

That one looks pretty good, I seen one in our CT that looks almost identical to the one that Marstar gives you when you buy a pistol.

I was going to get a toolkit and line it with foam for a pistol case

i had the same idea with a tool case from homedepot for $49.

I have the exact same case, got it on sale at CT, fits 4 pistols easily. Saw the exact same case with a stick on label saying PISTOL VAULT or something like that for 3 times the price in a gun store.

Thanks everyone you just saved me some money. I was going to buy a dedicated pistol case today from a local over-priced large retail sporting goods shop. CT here I come :)

Got the same case.... Just re foamed it to re-cut it for three pistols and mags.... Works great, best 30$ I spent... Only thing, took hours to remove the nearly full size master craft sticker on the front....

Just grabbed the same case the other day. Fits my 226 with 5 mags and my .22 upper for it along with one .22 mag pretty well. I took someone elses tip to stuff the top with old nespaper and flyers to push it out more and hold the hardware better. Had a terrible time with that damn sticker...

I would leave the Mastercraft sticker on, its great camouflage!

Mastercraft being Mastercraft, there is a slightly less big and ugly aluminum Mastercraft label riveted to the case itself right above the giant ugly sticker. So your stuck with camouflage wither way lol

I was going to get a toolkit and line it with foam for a pistol case from Canadian Tire and I came across this case for $29.00 so I picked it up. Not the toughest case but it works.

That's all I use is a locked generic red Crappy Tire tool box.
I don't even bother lining it.
I use worn out thick bush socks as gun socks and pull them over each of the handguns inside the box after trigger locking them to protect them from each other and the sides of the box.
I roll my targets up as well as a couple of boxes of ammo and my roll of masking tape and put them in the box before I padlock it and then off to the range.
What could be more innocuous than a guy carrying a box of tools?
