Rimfire scope ---) Hawke Varmint

I opted for the Vortex Diamondback and I'm regretting putting this on my 22. I'd like to hear what you all think about the crosshair width of this Hawke for a rimfire.

I have the 4-12x40 V-Plex. I bought it knowing I would move it to a 22-250 or 25-06 down the road.

I'm using my .22 as a long range trainer and I'm finding that this scope doesn't give me what I need at 200yds. The crosshair is thick and there isn't enough elevation adjustment.

I got a Crossfire II with the BDC reticle and it seems half decently thin to me.

I just looked through the BDC and the Hawk scope and they look about the same thickness, if you take the mil dots off the Hawkes crosshairs.

Ran into my first issue with my Hawke scope. The windage turret lost its audible click, I called Hawke and they said they would replace the scope in one week. I was happy with that but the dealer I bought it from in Regina did something even better and just gave me another one. Very happy with the customer service at both Great Northern Rod and Reel and Hawke Optics. Im gonna put some serious amounts of lead through it this summer and will report back.
