At the range yesterday, went for 3 rounds of clays (75) with my Beretta Onix and brought my Benelli M4 along to get it to move a bit, i was suprised how swift the M4 is on clays, got a 23 with the Benelli, the least i can say those M4 are good at everything you trow @ them...
Good for grouse hunting, geese was fine with it, tactical i wouldn't know and now clays, if you only can have one shotgun M4 is the answer... JP.

For those who want to try it, just take the rear ghost sight off and go only with the front, used like a bead... JP.

I took mine out two weekends ago with a few boxes of clays at a buddy's property. I was curious to see how it would do. Worked amazingly, I find the gun points so well for me, even with the ghost rings. I'm hoping to take it out for turkey too.

And after a couple hundred shells, the gaz system cycled flawlessly even the weakest trap load... JP.

Completely agree with you guys, love using my M4 for clays. I'll try that out Caramel and take out the rear sights next time. Also had no issues using cheap cdn tire target loads.

Had my friends try it out on clays and enjoyed it as well. Few complained that it's too heavy. Ya ya, hit the gym you girlie-man. Hear me now and believe me later, you need to pump up your muscles to reach full pumptential!

I will not sell my Onyx, the point is that the M4 is so versatile, it is good for all, i will do turkey opening day with it... JP.

True it is heavy but you dont really feel it, i like the way the follow tru swing perform with it and the big deal is certainly the fact you are loaded with 7 shells ( not permitted everywere) 5 in the tube, one in the chamber and one ghost loaded, big fire power on those clays, 2 and 3/4 shells are needed here... JP.

I have mine at 6+1+1 /w 2 3/4 shells. Installed a tac star extension and plugged it with an old follower at the end of the tube.

Many shotguns are adequate and good, to my knowledge the Benelli M4 just sit at the top, since i owned them, i sold my 11-87, my BPS, both my Wingmasters, my Winchester SRX, my Ithaca 37 and 2 Mossbergs, i only kept my Onyx Berreta, my El Faisan 410, and my 2 M4....
After shooting those M4, i had no reasons to keep them, safequeen role was their destiny... JP.

Love my M4 too but still missed the Beretta 1201FP its quite a bit lighter,I still prefer the M4 and so do the Boston SWAT team:

Found this pic on the net when they hunt down the 2nd suspect last week they have the 14" entry model
