Went into prophet river looking for scope rings, and walked out with a receipt for this baby, just had to have er.

Cant wait to try er out Monday. My dad used to own a llama 44 so I know what I'm getting into as far as recoil and everything, and I think the long barrel will help with the muzzle climb.

I'm so glad I'm not the only guy who does that (came in for this, walked out with this, too!)

I'm glad my closest gun shop is an hour a way and that STATTs aren't instantaneous. I'd own a few more handguns.

Nice lookin' revolver!

well congradulations, hope your happy now .
now yur hooked, you'll alwase be broke buying more more more .. well at least yur first one sure is a big one ...

So, did you at least get the scope rings, too!:)

LOL no they didnt have them in yet!

I realize now that yes, I'll be getting more. Alot more. I kept putting off buying the first one but they explained it to me and its really alot simpler than I thought.

On monday I'll see how she shoots and let you guys know.

Very own nice just bought my first pistol this week.. every one should one for giggles

Imagine if OP had gone in looking for a scope instead of just rings.

Recoil with such a long barrel will be very manageable.

How good is the balance?

Find my 629 with 8 3/8" barrel very accurate and fun shooting. Other 629 with 7.5" barrel with muzzle kicks way less. Box of factory is no problem. Shooting the shadow right after the 629 is like no recoil, keep suspecting a dude if not hole in the paper.

I'm just getting started with reloading so yes I will definitely reload for this thing.

The balance is a bit farther forward but not so much so that it seems awkward.

I pick it up in the morning, let the addiction begin! Lol

lol go big or go home.

Seriously though I think a Ruger Single Ten or something similar will be next. A little easier on the wallet :)

I can strongly recommend the Single Ten. I bought it because the wife wanted it, and I can't help but shoot it whenever I'm at the range. I want a big fan of the cowboy aesthetic, but it's definitely grown on me.

Well it shoots awesome what can I say. Just played with the sights and took some shots at pop cans and a milk jug. The recoil is pretty manageable, box of shells with a few breaks was no problem. Already looking forward to the next one!
