Corwin's 858 Dust cover scope mount reviews?

Simply because it is not scout mount.

Plus:

Iron sights are still usefull

More optic choice

No need to disassamble back sights

I use my with short 3.5x scope and QD Millet mounts works perfect

The majority of the dust cover mounts work perfect, the problem is that they lose zero when taking off the dust cover. Then you have to re zero all over again, and then it's perfect ................until you clean the gun:)

Have one, works great. That said, make sure any scope you put on it doesnt hang over the ejector port. The front of the scope will be dinged. Mine has lots of marks on it.

When the mounts are back in stock tomorrow we will add a package deal for the mount and short Russian PU scope. They are short enough not to go over ejector port

Some much wrong with this post.

It holds zero after every dissemble.

I have never re-zero'ed it after the initial one.

Has anyone mounted a good red dot to it (Aimpoint, Eotech?)? Works well? I'm getting interested in this mount.:)

The pieces from Corwin are used by the Czech military, as a lower cost alternative to the $400 version with fancy quick release mechanism. If it's good enough for the armed forces, who are we to argue?

That's the beauty - when you clean, you take the cover off not the scope off the cover. Cover snaps back and it's bolted down, so scope zero is maintained.

Have one, like it - +1 on getting a short scope - needs to be short ebuf to clear the ejector.
