AR-15s are restricted by name. Because they looked scary (Seriously). The XCR has a barrel length longer than 18.5" and cannot be readily converted into fully auto..

AR15's cannot be readily converted to fully auto. There is absolutely no reason why an AR15 with a barrel >18.5" long should be restricted.

I know that. They would be prohibited then.

There should be no reason a firearm should be restricted due to barrel length!!

We just got our first shipment in awhile of Robinson Arms XCR-M rifles in .308 Winchester! These need very little introduction in Canada these days -- non-restricted piston operated .308 black rifles with a fantastic set of ambidextrous controls and a fully collapsing/folding stock that reduces the overall length by enough to make an AR-10 jealous! The XCR series are one of the most popular families of non-restricted firearms in Canada, and for great reasons. It's hard to say no to quick-change caliber conversion ability being just a couple minutes away and fully possible in field conditions; the XCR-M can go from .308 to .260, 6.5 Creedmoor, or .243 Winchester with the help of caliber conversion kits consisting of a new barrel, bolt, and mag, all installable by the shooter in the woods in minutes flat with basic tools. We have these rifles available now in four colors, and spare magazines to go with those rifles as well.

Robinson Armament XCR-M .308WIN Rifles:

Non-restricted rifles available in several colors to make them equally at home in any element. Each rifle features integral monolithic M1913 picatinny railed forearms, non-reciprocating charging handle, brass deflector, folding/collapsing FAST stock system, ambidextrous controls, compensated medium profile barrels, and clean adjustable gas piston operation. Includes hard case and standard 5-round magazine. AVAILABLE IN BLACK, TAN, OLIVE, AND TIGER STRIPE

Please click one of the images above to see that model on our site.

These are easily one of the best selling firearms available in Canada and they do great work in the field for deer season with a black rifle flair or on the bench at the range when you have a backstop you want to punish!

Cheers,
Daniel

I understand that the XCR-L can be converted to 7.62x39, if so how available are bbl's, bolts and mags?

XCR-M Compared to Famae-SG542

We do have some already pre-sold due to the long wait since the last 5.56mm rifles. My own special order XCR-L in 5.56mm will be on that shipment too, so I've been waiting along with everyone else since November. If you're concerned about securing one on this shipment after the seven month gap of 5.56mm XCR-Ls, send me an email and I'll get you squared away with a deposit to hold one for you in your name. Solidarity amongst 5.56mm XCR-L brothers. :D

Cheers,
Daniel

Hey Daniel;
I am also interestd in a unit and was wondering how these compare to the Famae sg-542? They look close and have a lot similar features. What is better made and supported? I was wanting a 308 which these both come in...yippee!

Thanks!

Dwayne

Hi All;
Has anyone done any accuracy testing with the XCR in 308? I read some stuff on the internet about poor accuracy, but from the date it was posted it looke like it was the first run of these units.

Any testing feedback? Malfunctions, Acuracy, What Ammo it likes etc?

Thanks in advance!

Dwayne
