lee 6 cavity mold handle

The Lee handles are no comparison to the KAL handles, but if all that matters is price, fill your boots.

It's a fricken piece of wood, 2 actually.

I'm all for the best possible tool for the job and I work with quality tools all day but you can't tell me that I'll feel a difference in a set of straight wooden handles.

I have several set's of both, and there's no real differance to them. Shipping from LEE or Factory Sale's can be pricy. It's not them that do it, the U.S.P.S. rate's have gone up for out of country shipping.

I guess I'm mistaken, as we are talking about the handles (KAL shown):

and not the six-cavity "Cam Levers" (KAL top, Lee bottom).

As for the "Handles", yea, I can make do with the Lee - when they get loose I epoxy them.

However for the "Cam Lever", the Lee piece is junk. It's pot metal and I've broken two. I could try to be "more careful", by ensuring that I don't let it cool down too much, but especially with hard alloys, there's still the risk of breakage. Bravo to those who have never broken one.

if you look at the bottom you will see that the item is out of stock.

Lee currently has many items on back production unfortunately as well as many other manufacturers.
Items that are listed as “out of stock” on the LEE web site are on back production.
At this point whatever is on shelves here in Canada is what is available with very little stock trickling in.
Hopefully this will end soon

I have a couple of the Lee 18 cavity buckshot (6 row) moulds purchased last year, and the Cam Lever is steel, not pot metal.

Cam handles ( the metal part or the wood part ) are dirt cheap at higginsonpowders, less than two bucks each, any supplier can order them in.

If one is afraid they will break a cam handle, have a few on hand ..

You can buy all the parts for molds .. Screws, plates, nuts and bolts etc. ( even mold blocks )
