burris fullfield II 4.5-14x42 opinions wanted

I considered it for my Sako m75ss 270WSM I bought off a fellow CGN in December, but went with a new Leupold VX3- too sweet of a deal about 2 months ago at P & D.

As for the Burris, a few of my friends have them in the FF II 3-9x40 with ballistic plex reticle and love them.

I have one on my .300WM hunting rifle. Works great. Nothing too fancy about it. Nice glass for the price.

Interesting.I have one of the older 3-9's and eye relief is pretty good on it.I wonder what else in the price range would be worth a look? Ive been checking out the sightron sII classic plus on 4scopes.

i wonder if there are any dealers who also camo dip.Whatever i decide on,i'd love to have it dipped to match my savage predator in reatree hardwoods snow camo.

Mine has done OK so far. Don't like the turrets though. The ball. plex reticle is great.

I recently purchased an Elite 4-16x40 w/AO and DOA 600 reticle. I also looked through the Leupolds (all of them). I found the crosshairs to be too fine. It would be difficult to in low light conditions. The Burris 4.5-14 was not as clear as the Burris 3-9 on my son's rifle.

I can work with the DOA 600 reticle. It is calibrated for 7mm RM 150gr (and of course others). Good enough for deer anyways.

Just discovered that camo dipping won't void the warranty on a Burris.That's definitely a plus.I plan on having the scope that i choose dipped in realtree hardwoods snow to match my rifle.
