Question about Norinco 1911's

I'm far, far from being a 1911 expert only ever having owned two: a STI Spartan in .45 and a Kimber Team Match in 9mm both of which I sold some years ago. Recently I decided to add a couple of 1911's back into the collection and have picked up a Kimber via private sale and placed an order with CanAm for one of the Norinco 1911 + 1000 rounds combo deals. My question is fairly simple: I assume the Norinco 1911 will work out of the box, but do people generally need/want to have them tuned up and, if so, what are the preferred tweaks that are recommended.

Any other comments about the Norc 1911 would also be appreciated.

btw - I chose the Norc deal partly because of price and partly because I recognize that skills are perishable and that I'm going to need to burn through a crate of ammo with a 1911 to regain some of the lost talent ( of which there wasn't a lot to begin with LOL ).

Some of the early ones had horrible triggers. Over the last couple years the ones I've tried were great right out of the box.

Poor sights are the biggest issue for me.
 
I got a new Norinco Sport on the last "1911+ammo" deal. Way better fit and finish than the older models.
Fairly good trigger pull and is accurate, even with "dirty" Norinco ammo. I'm not going to change a thing.
With the newest "1911+ammo" deal, I would upgrade the basic sights and check out the trigger pull to see how it is.
 
I have one of the Norinco Sport models. Right out of the box the trigger and everything else was great. I really enjoy shooting it. The only thing I don't like is the sights, but they are still usable. For $349 I feel like I got a good value for my money.
