3 Gun? 5 Gun?

What exactly are those "3 Gun" or "5 Gun" competitions?

You would have had better luck with google.

3 gun is action shooting with a pistol/rifle/shotgun.

Never heard of 5 gun.

I'm not really interested in action sports, just target shooting, so I don't really know how action sports work.
