Here we go again for 2013. Same rules as last year.

I see a lot of people on here claiming to have 1/4 or 1/2 MOA rifles.

Place is Cedar Springs Rifle Range. The range is 300m. Shooting is all done prone under current ORA/DCRA, F/TR Class or F(F)actory rules.

Targets will be DCRA 300m face on a 4ft frame. All shots will be indicated.
Exception to the rule is that single string shooting will be allowed.

The cost of the ORA guest fee is $45/day. On top of the guest fee there will also be a marker beach and sentry fee of about $30.

So here's the deal. You pay the fees for the day. You will have 5 attempts to shoot a 1 MOA, 10 shot group. If you are successful in shooting a 1 MOA group, you get your money back and I pay your fees for the day out of my own pocket.

Here are the date for this years challenge. May 18-19, June 15-16, July 7, July 21

Are you up for the challenge?

Over the past few years we have had lots of people try, but only had 1 winner.

I love it when there are opportunities like this where people can put it out there. If you talk the talk, can you walk the walk? I am not a pricsion shooter (yet) but if I was, I would be all over this for grins and giggles. Good for you Maynard.

Great idea. For those of us who know how involved precision load development is, I get tired of hearing this too. Not only that, good equipment and proper precision load dev, still need good shooter :) [I'm OCD about ammo making, but still doesn't mean I can shoot as good as the ammo/equipment ;) ] Bravo to the guys/gals out there that can shoot better than half MOA...all day long...and prove it :)

So prone with a sling AND a bipod is legit or can I only use sling OR bipod? May is to early but June or July sounds good to me.

So, who's in for the MOA Challenge on May 18-19? Syxx15 will be running the show at Cedar Springs that weekend, but it is still my money on the line. I need to know if I will need to take out a bank loan to pay for everyone that manages to shoot a 10 shot 1 MOA group.

Maynard, just to confirm...ORA members are excluded from officially competing in this event?

That is correct Terry, I am trying to drum up new shooters. Everyone seems to have that 1/4-1/2 MOA, off the shelf rifle sitting at home, so here is their chance to show us what it can do.

Of couse you and Norm are welcome to come down to Cedar Springs at any time to witness all these 1 MOA groups.

Why are all you experienced competition shooters trying to take my money? How about if you guys shoot a 1 MOA group, I will buy you a beer and we will call it even? And you can have all the bragging rights here on CGN and we will post your picture.

I was out on the 19th and had a great day. Maynards money is safe.................for now, like Arnold said "I'll be back" again and again if required.

To the shooter who was there who was talking about the 300 yard range 2 hours from Windsor, if you are on this site and read this PM me if you would with that range info.

Dino, sorry I missed you this weekend. I just got back from the West Indies Fullbore Championships in Barbados. I hope to see you out next time.
