I am considering buying one and I would like some non-hostile imput.
I have read the reviews, and as usual, they can be taken either way.
Please share your knowledge/opinions/advice.
Thank you in advance,

By the way, I hear that the Norinco M14 is a pretty good gun. You hear about them all over the place, plus they have one of the best Cost to Reliability ratio in Canada.

Just like yommoma

:)

excuse me sirs ts asked for non hostile input.

get the m14 you little $&#^0^ its the best idea your puke brain ever had.

Ive had two over the past bit and IMO theres two ways of looking at it. Either way the value is unbelievable.

1- economy 7.62 semi auto. get a crate of 7.62 from Canammo for dirt cheap, free shipping. enjoy owning a functional version of the best battle rifle ever for 400 bucks. Maybe get a wood stock from boyds once they go on sale for $100. dont expect a pretty, nicely finished piece- if problems do come up either ask on the forum for fixes or warranty claim(decent shops have a good warranty on these I wouldnt buy one without it)

2- DIY project- a fun chance to get under the hood and learn how the beast works/tinker with things. I'm GLAD I didnt buy a springfield because I've had a gas working on this thing and without the imperfections I wouldnt have had a chance to learn near as much vs actually getting in there and fixing stuff.

easy things you can do yourself-

scope mount- couple hundred bucks
buy a usgi stock and bed it in
shim the gas system and tighten the op rod guide(super easy)

Might need a smith to do
trigger job

I got mine from Canada Ammo - shortie - came with 2 pinned 10 round mags - free ar15 (pen) and it was quick shipping but I live in the Same city - and they are out of stock right now - bummer

Just to reinforce all the above comments.
Great gun, loads of fun and cheaper than dirt if you want to play that way.

I will say tho, dont buy one..buy two while you can, they seem to be hard to find from time to time.
Have fun :)

Don't fzcking buy ONE!

Buy TWO of them!

You are gonna get addicted and start tweaking the beJesus out of them, the second is for spare parts when you shoot out the chrome-lined barrel sometime after 10K rounds. :D

It's a great addiction! :nest:

Cheers,
Barney

It's probably in imperial measurements, while the Norinco will be in chinese metric. This is magical formula they have created.
