Magpul announces MBUS PRO

sorry again for the lack of pics, doing this from my iphone. I updated the first post with more pics and info. THanks to TV-PressPass for more pics, big help.

And for people who don't approve of the polymer MBUS, I always refer them to http://kitup.military.com/2012/07/back-up-iron-sight-drop-test.html

I use MBUS due to the flexibility that they have over most other sights, but the size of them is definitely a draw back. Im glad that there are more options for BUIS other than Troy, KAC, Diamondhead, etc. The KAC are very high quality sights, and the rear 600M match site is amazing.

This was already announced by Magpul? It's everywhere.....

You think you are breaking the story ...with TV press pass... HAHAHAHAHa

LOL

Looks better then the original MBUS. I would try a pair. Looks like they are embracing steel these days. Good to see a higher end product from them.
Well they kind of have to with all the new rifles that have "optic ready" gas blocks, put a plastic mbus on there and it will melt. it was ashame until now because I had to mix match a plastic mbus on the rear and a steel flip up on the front. I really hope they have the steel ones in OD to match my od rear mbus.

Railed gas blocks are a dumb idea to begin with, but atleast with an all metal sight you can run something. Anyone know if the front post is replaceable with a tritium variation?

There's only about one thing that I'd want to add to the 'features' list: -Spring loaded. I know not everybody is going to agree with me; but hear me out! When I think of HAVING to go to your BUIS, you need them. FAST! Release the spring, and woosh! Irons ready.

Looks like the fine aperture folds forward instead of backwards like the Troy BUIS. So you can leave it on fine aperture when folded

Looks like alot of new product on the books for Magpul this year. AK-47 Pmags coming out now.......U.S. guys will be giddy about that one.

.

When are they going to be available?

Hard to tell. Sometimes Magpul releases stuff really quickly. The MOE rifle stocks were pretty much announced, and in production. Other things like the XTM handstops took a lot longer. Other things like the Grey colored componenets still haven't even come out yet.
