Help me out here.

I just bought a Keltec Sub2000 that takes "Beretta 92" magazines. Okay, that's great, but I can't find "Berretta 92" magazines anywhere.

I can find Beretta 92FS magazines, and "M9" magazines, and "96" magazines, but no specifically "92" magazines.

Am I good to go with the 92F or 92FS?

Alternatively, has anyone ever used the .40 cal "96" magazines with 9mm? Do they work okay with 9mm?

You can buy MEC-GAR aftermarket magazines. MEC-GAR used to be the vendor that made mags for the military (after the military ditched CheckMate, which supposedly made horrible magazines). Now it's somebody else, but MEC-GAR mags are every bit as good as the more expensive factory mags with "Beretta" stamped on them, at least in the opinion of many.

I think MarStar and probably a couple of other site vendors sell them.

If you find actual M9 mags anywhere let me know... they are Beretta mags that have been improved to make them more sand resistant after experiences in Afghanistan and Iraq. They seem to be pretty damned hard to find.

Our Mec-Gar Beretta 92/M9 magazines in both nickel and blue are physically only stamped "M9" on the side, there's not a 92 in sight. Plenty in stock. No idea about the dust testing though.

You guys have a great website.

There's no la-te-da; no ridiculous menus that take minutes of agony to flip through; it's very un-cluttered and organized and the best part is that there no damn registration or stupid username/password to remember!

HALLELUJAH! Finally, a company that actually "gets" that I don't want to freakin' register a username and password that I'll never remember.

Thanks for that, and good luck with your business.

This is the sand resistant magazine:

http://www.berettausa.com/products/mag-92-m9a1-sand-resist-9/15rd-9mm/15/jm9a115/

It's got some coating on the internals and possibly other modifications so that it will continue to function even if you rub sand into it. I guess getting sand in there happened a lot of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Kind of cool to have one, though I don't imagine that up here in frozen Canada where handguns are range toys that it is all that practical.
