Now what can we get other than an SKS-D that uses these ###y things?

Those type 81s are looking better and better.

Anyone think they could add a Vz58 spine onto one of these mags?

It looks neat and is 922R compliant for the Americans, however the AK has never lacked for good magazines so its not nearly as big a deal as the PMAG was for the AR.

The first synthetic AK mag, the Russian AG4 type, emerged "only" 50 years ago!

Anyway I wonder how these compare with the U.S. Palm AK30 mags?

As for a synthetic mag for the Vz58, we're still waiting to see if the folks at Gunexpert.cz ever get the design they're playing around with to market.

I know.. I specifically meant the AK and its variants like Saiga, Galil, M70 (in semi-auto of course - full auto just SOUNDS too scary :sok2) so we have more choices to use those mags in ;)

Good luck with that. They won't un-restrict the AR, no hope in hell of the AK.

Would be great in a non-resticted valmet of course. SKS-D might be finicky.

That reminds me, I gotta reach out to my MP.. He's blue, won a hard red riding, so I wanna see if he's willing to play ball with us and present the idea to the party comrades

Are there any guns without the AK gas system that still use the mags?

The 7.62x39 version of the A-91 rifle possibly, if they're ever made available in semiauto form, as well as possibly the 7.62x39 version of the as yet unrevealed Izhmash bullpup rifle.

The information regarding the Type 81 is conflicting, as far as I can figure the early models cannot use AK mags but that was changed fairly early in production.

Interesting. All I've ever heard is that they were a specific mag for the type 81. AK mags would be a nice option. More different types including the new pmag.
